TIPS FOR WASHING YOUR SHEETS LIKE A 5 STAR HOTEL

Getting into a freshly made bed, with freshly washed sheets, is one of those little pleasures that puts everyone in a good mood. It's the best way to start the night! Discover some tips (and secrets) for washing sheets at home like a pro. It will even feel like you are spending the night in a five-star hotel.

Do I really have to wash the sheets EVERY week?

The answer is clear: yes! Even if these look white and clean. You should wash them once a week so that there is no accumulation of unpleasant things like dust mites, sweat, allergens and dead skin.

In addition to the sheets, don't forget the pillowcase, the duvet and the mattress (the latter can be washed and sanitized less frequently).

So let's get down to business (or the sheets)

  • Make a machine with only sheets. And don't wash more than 2 at a time.

We know it's easier, and tempting, to wash all the sheets at home , plus the towels, plus anything else that's in the laundry basket. But resist the temptation. If you make a machine with only sheets (only two at a time!), you will see that you end up with cleaner, softer sheets , and less tangled.

  • Without forgetting the label instructions, wash them at a warmer temperature than usual.

Hot water is effective in eliminating most germs, bacteria and viruses. However, we also know that washing clothes frequently at high temperatures is not the best idea, as these washes can damage fabrics.

Try to think, in each wash, which will be your best option. For example, after you have been sick, it is best to actually wash your bedding at high temperatures to eliminate all viruses and bacteria.

  1. And don't forget the detergent!

As for detergent, opt for milder alternatives and don't make the mistake of using it in large quantities (it's not really worth it).

  • Can you dry the sheets in the sun? Dry, it's ideal!

They are cleaner, whiter and fresher. If you have to use the tumble dryer, put 2 tennis balls in the drum to prevent the sheets from getting all tangled up. Do you also like to get into a bed with smooth, crease-free sheets? We love it 😊

  • Iron the sheets and store them in a cool, dry place.

We are almost there! Keep them ready for the next time you make the bed with clean clothes.

Oh, and we have an extra tip: when you first wash your sheets , use a homemade mixture of vinegar and baking soda. Believe me, it works wonders.

Don't like washing sheets? Well…

You can redouble care and postpone the time to wash the bed linen, of course. However, try to take care of yourself and your comfort regularly. You'll see how good it is.

So if cleanups aren't your thing, try:

  • Do not eat in bed.
  • Air the room every day
  • Do not lie in bed with dirty clothes or shoes.

It only remains for us to wish you a good night… fresh and comfortable.
